L.C.Pile

The London Clay Pile App calculates the minimum pile length required for a given working load, in accordance with the London District Surveyors Association's Guidance Notes for the Design of Straight Shafted Bored Piles in London Clay (2017).

The App adopts the "Traditional Working Stress Approach" to design, as defined in Section 3.2 of the LDSA guidance note.

The App is based on an assumed geological sequence that is often encountered within central London that comprises:

- Made Ground.

- River Terrace Deposits.

- London Clay Formation.

The App has been developed to facilitate preliminary design and estimation activities.
